Bits and Pieces . . .

Did you miss me?
Not a lot of sewing going on here these days.
I've been dealing with the subtle and not so subtle
curve balls life throws at you.

Getting back on track now,
and hoping my little sweat shop will start turning out
pretty things again soon.

In the meantime, I have been making these cute little caps.
I whipped up the pattern with a plate
and measuring the circumference of my head.
Thankfully it was easier than I thought!
Next up I made a couple of BOM blocks for Jan-Maree's
Aussie Hero Quilts.  She is collecting March now if you would like to
I have also been making good progress on my hexies!
So fun!  I like hand sewing more than I thought.  Haha!
And lastly a bee block for Carole.  This is part of our Metro Mod Bee,
and Carole asked for wonky stars; she sent the white background.
I can't wait to see how she puts this one together!

So that's what I've been up to.
Think I'll drag out my flying geese tomorrow and work on that for a bit.
Have a great weekend and don't drink too much green beer!

  1. the caps are really cute! love the colours as always. Loving your hexi's and that star -the colours are just beautiful! Thanks so much for sewing the pin wheels - have you checked out your blocks in the latest nine patch BOM quilt for Aussie Heroes? They really give it a lift and inspired the border colour!

  2. Love all your caps, especially the black and white with the chartreuse band. Hand sewing is so addictive and relaxing--and projects eventually get finished :-)

  3. Oh, those hexies are the cutest! I need to make some of those, too!!!

  4. Yes, we've missed you .... love the hexies!

  5. Hey there! Nice to see you're back . . . I started hand sewing my hexies again too. I'm going to check out Jan-Maree's Aussie Hero quilt blocks. Have a good week and take care!

  6. Yea the needles are the hats..and yes my hexi's are growing...(it is still all your fault...smiles) can't wait to see what else you create...smooches...

  7. Hi, Lisa. Stopped by from the Periwinkle quilts blog to enjoy yours. You've got some interesting projects going--cool hats, too. You certainly have a great quilt guild, too.
    best from Tunisia,

  8. Great to see the latest sewing - love that hat, just make you happy looking at all the colours. Those flying geese are wonderful - so cheery in their colorfulness. Love the square block too - happy stitching!

  9. Bright happy hats for a bright happy person. Sending huge hugs. How stinking cute are those hexies?? Glorious!
