I know so many people have lost everything and my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone hit by Sandy. We have been lucky in that everyone seems to be safe here in our town.
I have been working on my hexies by candle light for the past few nights. How did our pioneer women see to do this? I can barely thread the needle! I think I'll load up a bunch of needles while the sun is shining.
You poor thing...my daughter lives in Monroe, NY and they have also been without power since Monday. Luckily they've been staying with friends who don't live too far away, but it's been a tough week, especially with a one-year old. When she checked the utility website today to see if they could expect power soon, it said next Thursday! Hope yours comes on long before that.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are okay. As far as the pioneer women are concerned I bet they got up with the sun and went to bed with it, too! LOL Your candlelight is pretty, though.
ReplyDeleteBeen thinking about you .. good to hear you're dry! Those pioneer women were tough!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are safe. At least you should have enough quilts to keep warm till you get power back!
ReplyDeleteSo great to hear that you are safe. Wishing electric light for you very soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you have power soon. Oh you must because you just commented on my AHQ quilts over at 15 min. That I found them through your side bar is quirky but I also live only a half hour drive from Jan-Maree. Blogland makes the world smaller and friendlier. I'm heading over tomorrow to help prep batting for the longarm quilter.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and happy weekend Terry
