Did you miss me???

Between Hurricane Irene and packing, I haven't had much time
in the sewing room!  We were only without power for four days,
and no big trees fell on the house, so I consider myself lucky.
Packing is another story . . . where did all this stuff come from?

Since I am feeling a tad ahead of the game for the moment,
I decided to head back into my sewing room this afternoon.

I started with the Bee Block for Nicole,
She wanted a dresden plate or wagon wheel block.
She sent all this yummy Kaffe  fabric for us to use.
We all have the same backgrounds and centers,
and the rest is up to us.
You can't really tell here, but since I did a wagon wheel,
I used a hexie for the center to make it look like a bolt.
I hope Nicole likes it!

Then I moved onto a little made fabric for Victoria's

I chose her flower basket block to complete.
Victoria is collecting any of the 15 minute play BOMs
for this quilt(s) as long as they have green backgrounds
I can't wait to see how this one turns out!
Victoria is also collecting quilts for her Basics Quilt Drive.
If you have an unfinished top laying around, and have the time to do it,
it would be great to finish it
and send it off to someone who could really use and appreciate it!

I am going to try to get one off to her as soon as I move.
I won't even show you what moving looks like . . .
you all know it isn't pretty.
Having a huge tag sale this weekend.
If you are in the neighborhood, stop by.
And no, I'm not selling any of my quilts, why does everyone ask me that??

  1. I can't believe you spent four days without power but still have time to sew with your tag sale coming up this week-end. Cool blocks both!

  3. Your made fabric came up well. Gee, I have enough scraps to do that too. Thanks for the idea! I am glad Irene didn't flatten your spirit.
