A Baby Quilt

I've spent the last couple days putting a baby quilt together
for Baby Ella.  She arrived on Father's Day,
what a nice present for her Dad!

I made the liner for her bassinet back in April.
Her Mom wanted pink and orange and yellow for the theme.

My kind of colors!

I was lucky enough to see this quilt from Cluck, Cluck, Sew
before I got started and it inspired what I made here.
I did change a few things up, but it is very much like the
inspiration quilt in the design.

I wanted to put her name on the back too.
I decided to add the green to the mix, it really needed
a cooler color to calm it down.

And I had the perfect backing in my stash!
Pink, Orange and Yellow stripes.
I love it when I don't have to buy a thing!
I even have the batting ready to go.

So tomorrow will be layering and quilting.
Lucky for me it's too hot to go out
and I have AC.
I don't really need an excuse, when I'm sewing,
the whole world knows to leave me alone!
Hope you are staying cool!
